When you think about the kind of performers that grace the festival grounds and stages of EDC, it's impossible not to think of outrageously impressive talent. These performance artists are the best fire-spinners, dancers, and stilt-walkers in the industry, and the only reason they got to where they are is because they have an incredible and unique flare. Below are the videos from six different EDC performer auditions that show you what it's like to try out for one of the most popular EDM festivals in the U.S.

Insomniac has always revered the misfits and the misunderstood, acknowledging that behind every kid who was teased for being different in high school, there's a story to be told and something beautiful to be contributed to the world. The Insomniac attitude toward their performers is no different: they're looking for the people who didn't have a place in the world and so made one for themselves. They look for the weirdos and wild ones that might be too much for the average person to handle, but who bring EDC to life with their fiery passion and unrivaled energy.

1. Sublu the wild child who makes it all up on the spot is "the best dancer we've seen all day."
"You look like a character from street fighter."

2. Devon shows the girls what it's like to truly work it in heels.
"I like how you went from RuPaul to DMX in about 30 seconds."

3. Super-Tall Paul does it all.
"Paul, I have a feeling that if we let you on the grounds at EDC, the entire electronic music industry will cave in on itself because that's how much talent you have."

4. The three women of Jagged turn pole-dancing into a synchronized sport.
"Their performance was like a turn-of-the-century flying machine."

5. Hooper Angelina Rose reminds us all what EDC is truly about and earns a few hugs from the judges.
"EDM has completely changed my life."

6. Buster Ballon shows us why weird is wonderful.
"I'll give you a F**k Yes." "I'll second that F**k yes."

These auditions are just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to finding the talent that makes EDC the magical wonderland that it is. You'll just have to go if you want to see all the other mind-blowing acts Insomniac has in store!
