Disney classics like The Lion King define an era for many us. They represent a part of childhood that we experienced with all of our friends - let's be honest, it's hard to find an American in his or her teens, twenties, or thirties who hasn't seen the big hitters. There's a certain sense of nostalgia that accompanies these classics; this type of animation isn't really created anymore. Everything is becoming more and more highly digitalized, so peeking back at the animation work of the 90's is like peering into the past.

The Lion King gets a dazzling, modern remake, however, in the video for Disney DCONSTRUCTED's feature of Mat Zo's remix of 'Circle of Life.' The video features footage from the original movie, but it has a seriously trippy twist to it, boasting vibrant, enhanced colors, and oozing, melting patterns. This is not your childhood The Lion King, so prepare to be taken on a journey. Plug in some headphones, enter full screen, and embark on a 3-minute departure from reality; you won't be disappointed.
